The treble clef tells you that notes are above middle C - in piano music, a treble clef is often used for the right hand.

The spaces are:

F.A.C.E. Spaces spell FACE

And there are a few ways to remember the lines:

E.G.B.D.F. Every Good Boy Deserves Fun
           Every Good Boy Deserves Football
           Every Girl Buys Designer Fashion
           Every Green Bus Drives Fast

Bass clef is below middle C.

The notes above and below the stave are on leger lines - and continue the alphabetical pattern.
