Dynamics are the volume of music - usually shown by abbreviations from this range:

  • pp - pianissimo - very soft
  • p - piano - soft
  • mp - mezzo piano - medium soft
  • mf - mezzo forte - medium loud
  • f - forte - loud
  • ff - fortissimo - very loud
