Key Signatures

Key signatures refer to the group of sharps or flats shown at the beginning of sheet music - and usually on each line of the page.

They tell you what notes are sharp or flat throughout the piece - and help you work out the keys.

C major and A minor share this key signature, with no sharps or flats:

The sharp keys are these:
