Sharps look like this: # (like a hashtag - but these were around many years before!)

On the piano, sharps are black keys to the right of the white key with a similar name.

eg: F sharp is the black key on the right of F, C sharp on the right of C, etc.

Note: the black keys may also be known by the name of their flats
